Augusto Burgundy Loafer
This Penny loafer in burgundy polished leather revives a great classic of men's footwear, now with a rounder, more contemporary shape. The deep, warm burgundy tone adds personality without losing elegance, and the discreet shine of the polished leather suits the return of loafers to the men's wardrobe. It works well with tailored trousers, denim or more casual looks.
The Penny Loafer is defined by the leather strap across the instep, with a small cut-out in the centre. In the 1950s, American students used that slot to keep a penny for the phone booth. Hence the name.
